Bengal Cat Glow Up: Kitten to Adult Transformations
Bengals change a lot from birth to adulthood. Brown Bengal cats come in so many shades of brown. Some can even appear so dark that they would be mistaken for a charcoal Bengal. The best way to tell what the background color will end up being on a Bengal cat is to look at the brown coloration on the face and in front of the ears. That is usually the color that the background of the cat will be as an adult.
MANY Bengals are born with extremely dark black spots and markings. They can be so dark as a newborn that you can barely see the second lighter color inside the rosette. These kittens can really surprise you when you see the color they end up being.
Look at the first set of pictures below. Floki was cream and jet black as a baby and ended up having a cream and light gold background, with beautiful medium brown rosettes with very black outlines.
The snow kittens can change a lot too and even be born solid white. Below you'll also see the three types of snow Bengals and how the change from kitten to adult.
Floki "Brown Bengal Cat" as a Kitten and an Adult
Floki, as an adult, has a cream and light gold background with medium brown rosettes outlined in black. As a kitten, he was extremely light cream with jet black markings.

Dreamy "Seal Mink Bengal Cat" as a Kitten and an Adult
Dreamy is a snow mink Bengal cat. Snow mink is the middle color of the 3 snow Bengal colors. As an adult, she has a light cream background with light brown/beige rosettes outlined in medium brown.

Snowy "Seal Lynx Bengal Cat" as a Kitten and an Adult
As a kitten, Snowy was born solid white. Her spots started to become barely visible around 2 weeks old. As she grew, her color intensified. As an adult, she has a very light creamy background with light grey-ish/beige rosettes outlined in dark grey. Her eyes were very light grey/blue.

Bijoux "Seal Sepia Bengal Cat" as a Kitten and an Adult
As an adult, Bijoux has a very light cream background with gorgeous medium golden-brown rosettes outlined in dark brown. She has light green/hazel eyes with hints of aqua, gold, and grey. Seal sepias seem to have the least amount of color change from a kitten to an adult, and they can often be mistaken for a seal mink Bengal.

As an adult, she has a medium creamy background with medium brown rosettes outlined in dark brown. She's still a nice warm color but with less of the reddish/golden tones.
